Check whether any Minecraft server is online and see its live MOTD, current player count, and version. Just enter the server's address — works for Java servers by IP or domain.
This tool pings the server's address the same way the Minecraft client does when it shows the server in your multiplayer list. If the server responds, we read back its status packet — the MOTD (the description text), how many players are online out of the maximum, and which version it's running. Domain names with an _minecraft._tcp SRV record are resolved automatically, so you can paste the address players actually connect to.
play.example.com or a raw IP.25565.| Symptom | Likely cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Offline, but players can connect | Host blocks status pings / query disabled | Set enable-query=true in server.properties, or check whether your host firewalls the status protocol |
| Offline by domain, online by IP | DNS or SRV record misconfigured | Point your domain's A record at the server IP, or add an _minecraft._tcp SRV record if you hide the port |
| Wrong player count / version | Cached result | Status data is cached briefly — wait a minute and re-check |
| Always offline | Server down, wrong port, or not started | Confirm the server is running, double-check the port matches server-port in server.properties |
A server that's online is a server worth playing. List yours free on our toplist — players browsing for somewhere new will find it, vote for it, and climb your ranking. Higher-ranked servers get more visits, which means more players.
